The gig economy has grown exponentially since the coronavirus pandemic, the crisis also changed the traditional 9-5 working culture. post-lockdown, many blue- and white-collar employees have continued to pursue gig work either as a source of additional – or even primary – income.

Recent reports have shown that roughly 57 million Americans are in America’s gig work, contributing more than $1 trillion annually to the U.S. economy. In other predicts, freelance workers will make up more than half of the U.S. workforce by 2023.

All over the world, the adoption of gig jobs is driven by emerging technologies, increased acceptance of remote work, the rise of digital platforms, and the general trend toward a gig economy.
